Calgary, Alberta, Canada, proudly welcomes Rotarians from around the globe for the 2025 Rotary International Convention, June 21 – 25. The last time the convention was in Calgary was 1996—we have so much more to show you!
Alberta is blessed with tremendous natural beauty such as the majestic Canadian Rockies to the west, the dinosaur era with hoodoos and dinosaur bones to the east, and Indigenous roots and culture south and north. Of course, there are outstanding experiences in Calgary, like our world-renowned Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park, Studio Bell, an unprecedented culinary scene, and The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth—the Calgary Stampede.
We have created the best of Alberta pre and post-tours for Rotarians, so plan to arrive early and stay late. Trips are offered in every direction, with spectacular scenery around us. We promise to spoil you with our famous Western hospitality. With so many itineraries, we are confident they will match your travel plans for RI 2025.
Check out our newly added Authentic Indigenous Tours from one day duration to four days. Be welcomed and hosted by our Indigenous operators and experience their culture, learnings, stories, cuisine, and experiences - only in Alberta.
Also new are our pre and post Rotary Vocational and Fellowship Tours, from single days in Calgary to multi-days throughout the province. These are built from the perspective of learning about our innovation, research, education facilities and University of Calgary. Visit the Brooks Aqueduct and Dam, Central Alberta with many optional experiences to choose from, and all things farming and cowboy country with visits to multiple farms, ranches, and Hutterite colonies.
And last, newly added are our White Hat Hospitality Excursions offered during the afternoons of June 21, 23 and 24. These afternoon tours follow the morning sessions and have you back to enjoy the Calgary Host Signature Events. Short but impactful visits and tours such as making your own 3X Smithbilt Cowboy Hat, Exploring 17th Avenue including the Honky Tonk Cowboy Market, Alberta Boot tour (cowboy boots that is), Spruce Meadows and a Cavalry Soccer game, a half day local hike in our rolling foothills, and more.
Do you use USD currency? You will be pleasantly surprised that the current exchange rate fluctuates from an estimated CAD 1.37/1.40 per USD 1. You can save up to 40% on your extended stay and local experiences thanks simply to the exchange rate.
When it comes to shopping, Alberta is the only province in Canada that does not charge a provincial sales tax. There are plenty of great shops, local art and authentic souvenirs as beautiful keepsakes of RI2025 Calgary.
We’ve laid it all out for you! Attend the Rotary International Convention, experience our tremendous province before and/or after the convention, and stay for the opening two days of our famous Calgary Stampede, including the parade, rodeo, chuckwagon races, grandstand show, and all the corn dogs you can eat. (July 4-13).
