About Skal International Calgary

Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the beautiful Tsuut'ina Nation proudly welcome SKAL members to the 2027 NASC congress, May 6 – 9. The last time NASC was in Calgary was 2005—we have so much more to show you!

Alberta is blessed with tremendous natural beauty, including the majestic Canadian Rockies to the west, the dinosaur era with hoodoos and dinosaur bones to the east, and Indigenous roots and history both south and north. Of course, there are outstanding places to see and experience right in Calgary, like our world-renowned Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park, Glenbow Museum, Studio Bell, an unprecedented culinary scene, and so much more.

We have created the best of Alberta pre- and post-tours for SKAL members, so plan to arrive early and stay late. Trips are offered in every direction, with spectacular scenery around us. We promise to spoil you with our famous Western hospitality. With these itineraries, we are confident they will match your travel plans for NASC 2027.

Check out our Authentic Indigenous Tours.  Be welcomed and hosted by our Indigenous operators and experience their culture, learnings, stories, and experiences, such as you can only do in Alberta.

Do you use USD currency? You will be pleased to know that the current exchange rate fluctuates around CAD $1.30–$1.38 per USD $1. You can save about 30% on your extended stay and local experiences thanks to the exchange rate. All tours are priced in Canadian dollars.

When it comes to shopping, Alberta is the only province in Canada that does not charge a provincial sales tax.  There are plenty of great shops, local art, and authentic souvenirs for you to return home with a beautiful keepsake of your NASC trip to Calgary.

We've laid it all out for you! Attend NASC and experience our tremendous province before and/or after the congress.

Join one or more of our incredible trips to check off some of your national and international bucket list destinations. We look forward to hosting you and sharing why we love calling this place home.

Single Day Tours Pre/Post

If you only have one day, we strongly encourage you to visit Banff and Lake Louise. Banff is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the glacier that feeds Lake Louise is a stunning turquoise colour you won't see in many other places.

Two-Day Tours South and East

Visit Waterton and the International Peace Park. Or head east to the incredible, unique Hoodoos, Dinosaur Park, and the Royal Tyrrell Museum, full of life-size, authentic, and reconstructed dinosaurs.

Multi-Day Canadian Rockies Tours West

Explore the majestic Canadian Rockies for 2 days, 4 days, or even 7 days. Depending on how much time you have, you could see Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, the Columbia Ice Fields, and Jasper.

Indigenous Tours

Authentic Indigenous tours hosted by our Indigenous operators. Choose from a two-day tour heading south to Okotoks, Blackfoot Crossing and Writing on Stone. Or a four-day tour will take you north to Painted Warriors Ranch, Edmonton's River Valley and sacred lands, and Metis Crossing. Learn about the culture, hear the stories, see the history for yourself, taste the amazing food, and enjoy the very warm welcome and teachings by our Indigenous people.
