ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in Vancouver

Welcome to Vancouver - a vibrant metropolitan city, Vancouver is nestled between majestic mountains, sparkling ocean, rainforests and beautiful foliage. All four seasons make Vancouver one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport we’ll pick up our rental car and drive to our downtown hotel. Once we have settled into our hotel, we suggest you go for an orientation walk around the neighbourhood to get our bearings and check out the unique shops and restaurants.
Overnight: Vancouver
Day 2: North Vancouver

Today begins with a slow drive over The Lion's Gate Bridge spanning the entrance to Vancouver's port. The longest suspension bridge in the world when it was completed, it offers unparalleled views of the harbour and English Bay beyond. Once across to the North Shore, it is a short drive to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Walk among the towering trees of this temperate rain forest and learn the ways of the local first nations' peoples. Then walk across the world's longest foot suspension bridge to the other side of the river where we can climb to the canopy and stroll through the "Treetops Adventure" walkway high above the canyon floor and the river below. If visiting between December 1, 2020 and January 3, 2021 experience the added bonus of Canyon Lights, where the suspension bridge, rainforest and Capilano River are ablaze with lights. Next, we head north to experience the Grouse Mountain Skyride. We’ll take the tram to a 1,200 metre (3,700 feet) viewpoint above the city and enjoy what the seasons have to offer. In wintertime guests can enjoy the wildlife refuge and take part in sledding, ice skating and more.

Day 3: Vancouver - Victoria

Today we travel by land and BC Ferries for a spectacular 95 minute cruise through the marine wonderland of the Gulf Islands. Once docked on Vancouver Island (Swartz Bay), we continue on to the world-famous Butchart Gardens with their 50-acre display of magnificent foliage. After the Gardens we head into downtown Victoria, a city that boasts many impressive architectural wonders, including the iconic Parliament Buildings and the waterfront Fairmont Empress Hotel. Visit the unique shops and cafes of Government Street and Chinatown. Stroll along the Inner Harbour for prime ocean views, and enjoy some free time to take in this culturally significant city.
Overnight: Victoria, BC

Day 4: Victoria

This morning we take a private tour of the West Coast aboard a luxurious and stable expedition catamaran. We have a 75% success rate of finding whales in the winter season, from playful Orcas to giant Humpbacks. Our vessel has a full washroom on board, full 360° viewing from inside or outside the vessel, an inside cabin that can be heated when it gets cold outside, hydrophones, marine biologists to act as our guides, water-repellent jackets, binoculars, and complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. Our experience is sure to be memorable. Back on land this afternoon, we visit the Royal BC Museum and experience artifacts, documents and specimens of British Columbia’s natural and human history in addition to the current exhibitions. The Royal BC Museum is one of Canada’s greatest cultural treasures and their collections, research and presentations tell the stories of British Columbia in ways that enlighten, stimulate and inspire.

Day 5: Victoria - Vancouver

Enjoy your final morning in Victoria at leisure. This afternoon we drive back to Swartz Bay to board BC Ferries for another scenic sailing back to Vancouver.
